Day 5 was killer. The raid and humidity made our red carpet event at the Magnolia Theater uncomfortable, even though it was the best red carpet shoot yet!
Local Texas Pop Band, Bowling for Soup showed up to present their docu-concert “Bowling for Soup – Live and Very Attractive” along with the director, King Hollis, and producer Melina McKinnon.
James Duval walked the carpet, bringing his charismatic and energetic personality to the mix which made it an absolute blast snapping shots of him and his friend.
Paul Oakenfold was slated to walk the carpet, but due to that crazy Texas weather we get, his flight was delayed and completely missed the event.
I’ll post more about this later as I have more time…
Afterwards, I made my way back to the Target Film Festival Lounge to relax before heading out to the Ghost Bar to hang out at the Funimation sponsored event featuring Paul Oakenfold. Funimation’s entry, Vexille, has been getting screened right outside at Victory Park on their massive screens!
Finally, at the end of the night, Paul’s security allowed me behind the ropes to get the pix I’ll link once I have my media back. After the bar closed, I was lucky enough to hang along with Paul and his people at a private get together. Sorry, no pix from that. I agreed to put the camera up for the experience. More about this later. It was definitely an interesting night!
In the meantime, check out my buddy, Scotty Mankof and his site – Crazy Picture Guy. He’s made time to blog between shots. (We’re still working with him to move his blog from MySpace).
Scotty just started shooting with us officially Sunday night and makes a great addition to our team. This guy has a great eye and memorable personality, thats for sure!
